Carmelo Ezpeleta, Dorna Sports CEO, will be arriving in Finland for a formal visit to KymiRing Circuit.
Following this visit a Press conference will be held, after a meeting with local authorities.Whereas a proposalto the FIM to include the KymiRing Circuit to the GP calendar (for the year that will be announced next Wednesday) will be made. Date of the event to be announced in the future.
The FIM MotoGP World Championship Series will return after almost 40 years to KymiRing Circuit, located in Iitti Municipality. MotoGP commercial rights holder Dorna Sports has already confirmed Finland´s return to the MotoGP calendar.
Dorna Sport’s CEO, Mr. Carmelo Ezpeleta and his team will arrive to Finland next Tuesday. A press conference will be organized on Wednesday 2nd of August, at 3.30 p.m. at the Helsinki Music House. Press conference will be attended by Minister for European Affairs, Culture and Sport Mr. Sampo Terho, Dorna Sport’s CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta, Chair of Finnish Motorcycling Federation Mr. Tapio Nevala, Chairman of KymiRing Board Mr. Kari O. Sohlberg and KymiRing Project Manager Mr. Timo Pohjola.
